£77 - £90 a day.
A secondary school based in New Milton is seeking a Behaviour Learning Support Assistant confident in dealing with challenging students. Previous experience in such a role is ideal, but graduates with expertise in sport or psychology looking to start a career as an LSA are also extremely desirable.
You will be supervising between 3 – 5 students, working in a group and on a 1-1 basis, activities will also be involved, playing sports, arts and crafts and much more.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide extra support to individual pupils within the unit.
- Deliver tailored learning activities set by the teacher.
- Build a positive rapport with students to help them enjoy their learning.
- Display empathy, understanding and support.
- Have a positive approach that empowers students and helps with their wider development.
- Be confident dealing with challenging behaviour but in a patient manner.
- Be active and engaging with activities, getting each pupil involved.
Typically, this role will involve 1:1 work and leading a small group. The successful individual will help establish positive and healthy relationships, emotional wellbeing and developing social skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
