Full time Behaviour Mentor required for a Bury based Secondary school from October 2019, on a fixed term supply basis initially for one term.

Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with a mixed comprehensive Secondary school to recruit a dynamic, resilient and passionate Behaviour Mentor to join their highly successful support department.   • Full time Behaviour Mentor position, from October 2019.
  • Must have previous experience working with hard to reach young people within a support capacity to be considered.
  • Continued access to outstanding CPD training programmes throughout the academic year.
  • Excellent location, easily accessible via the M66 motorway.
  • Earn up to £1300+ per month.

Due to the complex nature of this role, you will be expected to take an objective approach to the support of young people, as the development of their teaching and learning is at the forefront of support, the responsibilities for the incoming Behaviour Mentor will include;

  • Quickly build rapport with students and ensure focused learning takes place. Support identified pupils with their teaching and learning through 1:1 intervention and group based support.
  • Inspire pupils to develop a progressive mind-set towards learning.
  • General cover responsibilities may apply within the inclusion and or support faculties due to the flexible nature of the role.
  • Take a resilient, pro active approach towards the management of behaviour in line with the School Behaviour policies.

Located in the Ramsbottom region of Bury, the school currently serves just over 700 pupils aged 11-16 and easily be accessed via the M66 motorway and the surrounding areas; Bolton, Preston, and Rochdale. There are also numerous public transport options available locally to school with links across Greater Manchester.
