Job description

Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with a renowned Salford Secondary school to appoint an experienced Behaviour Mentor on a full time basis, from Easter 2019 for an open gap within their support provisions.

  • Full time Behaviour Mentor required from Easter 2019.
  • Must have previous experience working with young people who display challenging behaviour within a support capacity to be considered.
  • Earn up to £85 per day.

The incoming Behaviour Mentor will be working within the onsite provisions in place for hard to reach young learners across Key Stages 3 and 4. Due to the challenging nature of the role the successful Behaviour Mentor is required to be a resilient, empathetic and student centred practitioner.

  • Support identified pupils with their teaching and learning through 1:1 intervention and group based support.
  • Inspire pupils to develop a progressive mind-set towards learning.
  • General cover responsibilities may apply within the inclusion and or support faculties due to the flexible nature of the role.
  • Take a resilient, pro active approach towards the management of behaviour in line with the School Behaviour policies.

This growing Secondary school is founded upon the foundation of student centred teaching and learning. Students are supported to achieve their best through relentless focus on dynamic teaching and inclusive practice. The school has just over 800 pupils on roll aged 11-16, and is continuing to see an influx of pupils attending each academic year.

It is also easily accessible via the M60/A580 (East Lancashire Road) as well as the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Wigan.
