Job description

Have you got excellent behaviour management skills? Could you act as a role model for pupils with extremely challenging behaviour who are at risk of being excluded from mainstream education? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Behaviour Mentors and 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils with extremely challenging behaviour who are at risk of being excluded. You will be required to support their social, emotional and intellectual development from September 2018. You will be required to attend each lesson with them, ensuring they stay on task and complete the set work.

You will be required to have:

  • Experience managing extremely challenging behaviour
  • Good GCSEs A*-C or equivalent
  • An Enhanced Child Only DBS registered with the Update Service (or will apply through Teaching Personnel)

It is desired the candidate has:

  • Experience working within an educational based setting
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

Pay: £9 per hour

Contract: Temporary with permanent positions for the right candidate

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
