Behaviour learning support worker

Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working exclusively with a secondary school in Dover who are looking to recruit effective behaviour mentors to support students transitioning back in to the mainstream classroom from the on-site SEN unit and to support within the unit itself.

The role offers a varied and ever changing environment in which members of staff work flexibly to support vulnerable students with emotional, social and mental health difficulties. The role is full-time with the potential of offer of a permanent contract for those who excel in post.

Those who have experience in the following areas would be of particular interest:

  • Youth work
  • Support work & residential care
  • Learning mentor in secondary environment
  • Prison officers/ tutors
  • Graduates from relevant disciplines (Psychology, Sociology)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
