Behaviour Learning Support Assistants needed in Southampton

The specialist Secondary provision based in Southampton caters for secondary aged boys who have difficulty managing social interactions; and recognising and regulating their emotions in order to promote positive mental health.

The role will require applicants working with closely with Teachers and supportive Teaching Assistants; this will be on a 1:1 or small group basis with boys with complex behavioural needs. We are looking for applicants to work with students 5 days per week, between the hours of 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday.

Relevant qualifications and training:

  • Minimum of GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (A - C)
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 Health & Social Care
  • MAPA training
  • Team Teach
  • Behaviour management training

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
