Teaching personnel are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to work full-time or part-time in the Vale of Glamorgan & Cardiff at a local Behaviour Provision that provides appropriate primary and secondary learning provision for a range of vulnerable and challenging SEN students.

The school aims to provide a caring and positive environment where all are valued and supported through a personalised curriculum which challenges and inspires individuals to achieve their potential. They provide full or part time places for children and young people from South Wales who have been permanently excluded, those at risk of exclusion and those out of school for medical reasons. They recognise that we need to address both the social and emotional needs of pupils alongside and in conjunction with their educational needs.

The ideal candidate:
* Previous experience working with young children, and have had exposure to working with behavioural or SEMH needs
* Have a patient, nurturing disposition who will not be phased by challenging behaviour
* First Aid trained will be ideal
* Team Teach trained or experience of this in the past
* Have the ability to use their initiative
* Be able to multitask and have the flexibility to help in a variety of situations, with different ages and classes.
* Be happy to work in small groups and on a one to one basis.


This is a lovely school, with friendly staff and a happy environment. Getting involved with the pupils and staff from the get-go, and have a genuine interest in behavioural and SEMH needs is a must.

Those who are interested will be welcome to spend a trial day at the school, upon undergoing a vetting process. We have various other positions that come in regularly for a TA in SEN schools, so there is an opportunity to work at many schools in your area, both on day to day supply and long term placements.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
