Behaviour Design and Technology Teacher - Totton

Job description

Teaching Personnel is working with a pupil SEN provision based in Totton that is looking for a design technology teacher to start in the new year (January). This is a full time position until of the end of 18/19 academic year with the potential to be long-term permanent continuation.

The school caters to children aged 11 - 16 years with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Special Educational Needs (SEN). The school provides alternate education to pupils who do not have access to mainstream education, with the majority of attending pupils working toward Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).

In this role you will be required to plan and mark lessons, in coordination with the ethos and standards of the schools. The perfect candidate will also be able to cover other areas of DT and be particularly confident teaching all aspects of one particular curriculum.

About the role:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 08.30 - 15.30
  • £100.00 - £130.00 per day, dependent on experience and qualifications
  • Temp to Perm period
  • Must have experience working with children who display SEMH, EBD, ADHD and very vulnerable children including looked after students.

Required education:

  • Bachelor's (2:1/1st)

Required licences or certifications:

  • QTS
  • NQT

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
