Behaviour and Inclusion Support Worker

Behaviour and Inclusion support worker role in Leeds. Full-time & permanent 

A mainstream Primary school close to the city centre in Leeds are currently seeking to employ a full-time / permanent Behaviour & Inclusion Support worker to work with pupils across the primary age range (predominantly in Key Stage 2) on a 1-2-1 basis who are on Individual Behaviour Plans in school (IBPs). The school are looking for a candidate who can start as soon as possible (when the children return to school) and who also has previous experience in a similar role in an educational based environment. This MUST be evidenced in your CV when you apply.

This is a two form entry Primary school and is located approximately 10 minutes from the Leeds City centre in LS11 with excellent and reliable public transport routes to and from the school from the Leeds City centre. The school is an Ofsted 'IMPROVING' school and are on their way to achieve GOOD with OUTSTANDING over the next 24-48 months. The school pride themselves on their strong and long standing staff base and their 'ALWAYS IMPROVING' attitude to teaching, learning and the holistic child. 

About Teaching Personnel

• Candidates must be available full-time and school hours from 830 - 330 (Thursdays you will finish at 4pm)
• Candidates must have a positive attitude and have the required behaviour support experience with primary school aged children
• Candidates need to be confident when working with children with behavioural issues and abilities. This includes planning for differentiation and preparation for one-to-one support
• Candidates need to be open to trial at the school for a full day and must be punctual at all times
• Candidates need to show responsibility for their own learning as well as personal and professional development through experience, qualifications and additional training
• Candidates must be able to work as a team and individually and must be proactive when supporting and teaching pupils
• Candidate must have the Team Teach qualification (or equivalent) or, be open to completing the training through Teaching Personnel
