There are multiple part time positions available for basic skills Tutors to work in around the Manchester Borough. These positions are for Qualified Teachers or professionals who have significant tutoring experience.

The role of a Tutor will involve working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who are being educated outside of Mainstream Education. The pupils who require tuition may have a variety of needs including: PMLD, challenging behaviour or they may be young parents or expecting parents. To be considered for this role you should have Qualified Teacher Status, however individuals with various other qualifications such as further Education PDGE's would be considered.

If you wish to be considered for this role you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or another relevant teaching qualification
  • An understanding of the National Curriculum up to GCSE
  • Experience working with pupils and young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
