Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking teaching assistants to work in a new autism class in a lovely SEN school in South Woodford. The pupils in this KS3 class have a statement of moderate to high functioning Autism, some non verbal pupils and present with challenging behaviours as part of their condition. As a teaching assistant here you will be passionate to work with autistic learners, positive, pro active and be confident to deliver 1:1 support. Previous experience of working with Autism is essential, Team teach trained candidates will have an advantage. This will be an ongoing full time SEN teaching assistant role with the prospect of a permanent contract to provide consistency for their autistic pupils.

KS3 Autism teaching assistant:

  • 1:1 and group teaching assistant for autistic learners - moderate to high functioning
  • Must have previous experience working with autism
  • Potential for permanent contract
  • Immediate start
  • Full time Monday - Friday 8.30am -3.30pm term time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
