Autism specialist - ASC Teaching Assistant required for "Good" Primary School in Irlam, Salford, M44.

Experience of working with Autism (ASC), ideally with young children.

Ability to work well with Autistic children, traits of Autism and mechanisms to engage and include children.

Experience dealing with challenging behaviours but great support with the SENCO and Inclusion Team.

A primary school in Salford are looking to recruit a 1:1 ASC support worker to work with a couple of children with Autism from September 2018.

This role requires someone who has experience of working with children with ASC, whether it's on the verbal or non verbal spectrum. The Salford school looking to become a good and outstanding school in the future. There is a friendly environment and a hard-working ethic. This is a great opportunity and one which could lead to a school's permanent contract.

The Role:

  • Reception boy -ASC - Well behaved, intelligent, verbal and very receptive. Social communication is a struggle.
  • Nursery Aged Girl - Complex ASC needs, non-verbal, repetitive, visual learner.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
