Job description

Primary Schools in the Borough of Haringey are looking for new Learning Support Assistants to work with children who have been diagnosed with autism.

A Learning Support Assistant vacancy will see you working with a pupil with Autism, whilst working closely with class teachers and liaising with the school's SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) to create individual learning plans for the child to monitor their progress throughout the year.

The ideal candidate for roles of this nature will be resilient, friendly and have existing experience of working with children or adults with SEN.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Be available 8.30am-4pm Monday-Friday
  • Have experience of working with children or adults with special needs and/or learning difficulties
  • Have a DBS registered online or be willing to apply for a new DBS through TP

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
