We are working in partnership with an amazing National Autistic Society (NAS) accredited primary SEN school in West London who are looking to immediately appoint full time and experienced autism support assistants for a KS1 class with pupils statemented with autism, ADHD and complex needs.
Successful autism support assistants will be resilient, open to learning and confident in delivering high quality education and support to pupils on a 1:1, 2:1 and small group basis. As this role will be working in small Key Stage 1 (KS1) primary class of up to 8 pupils, flexibility is vital as at times you may need to support in classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
Ideally, support assistants must have previous experience working with autism/SEN pupils; however, the school are also open to those with a proven interest in working within the SEN sector.
This post is for an immediate start and will span until end of academic year 2019 with the opportunity for a permanent contract in the summer.

Autism support assistant requirements:
- Previous experience and/or proven interest supporting autism and additional special educational needs
- Previous experience working in UK education or in non-educational SEN environments
- Full time Monday to Friday term time only - 8.30am -4.30pm (non-negotiable)
- Permanent contracts will be released to internal supply staff July 2019
- Degree qualifications desirable but not essential (GCSE equivalent required)
