Job description

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an 'Outstanding' SEND school in Bedale who are seeking a Support Assistant to work on a full time basis, to commence as soon as possible working with students with Autism.

The role will involve working with Key Stage 1 and 2 students who have Autism of varying severity's and some may have multipel SEND; the students are in need of extra support and guidance within their literacy, numeracy and science classes. The main aspect of the role will be helping the children to engage with their learning and supporting the class teacher as well as encouraging personal and social development.

Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with Autism; however the client school welcomes candidates with backgrounds in education, youth or social work. You will be passionate about improving the lives of young people and have a strong desire to work with SEND.

You will be supported by a specialist team of SEN recruitment consultants with education backgrounds through your application process and placement within this role. Teaching Personnel can offer Support Assistant's competitive pay rates of up to £65 per day, for the right candidate longer term rates can be negotiated on your behalf.
