Autism Specialist in Hammersmith and Fulham

Job description

The role is to support a child with Autism on 1:1 base in reception. The successful candidate is someone who can be given learning objectives and take initiative and plan activities with guidance to best meet the child's needs; be calm and patient, never showing frustration towards the student.

Ideally you will:

  • Have previous experience of working in a School Nursery or School Classroom setting.
  • Preferably has experience of working with children who have additional needs, both physical and behavioural.
  • Have good communication skills with staff, children and parents.

- Be able to work as part of a team, but also use initiative and self- direction when needed

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
