Autism Experienced Teaching Assistant - Wakefield

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a school in WF1 that caters to students aged 4-19 years old with varying degrees of Autism. The school have been rated 'Good' by Ofsted and the role is full time and ongoing. They need someone who has had experience in working in a setting with vulnerable people before, particularly supporting someone with Autism. Having specialist training in Makaton and PECs is ideal but not essential.

The role will potentially go permanent depending on the success of the candidate. We are looking for someone who is passionate about empowering disadvantaged students and tailoring their support style to suit the students.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
