Autism specialist - ASC Teaching Assistant required for "Good" Primary School in Leicester

  • Experience of working with Autism (ASC), ideally with young children.
  • Ability to work closely with Autistic children, traits of Autism and mechanisms to engage and include children in the education environment
  • Ability to deescalate Challenging behaviours but great support with the SENCO and Inclusion Team.

A "good" primary school in Leicester are looking to recruit a 1:1 ASC teaching assistant to work with a pupil with Autism from September 2018.

This role requires someone who has experience of working with children or young people with Autism. This Leicester school has a friendly environment and a hard-working ethic. This is a great opportunity and one which could lead to a school's permanent contract.

The ideal candidate is somebody who:

  • Has strong behaviour management skills
  • Can be flexible and innovative in their approach to teaching, whilst also following school policies
  • Has high expectations of pupils and is committed to helping them improve
  • passionate about making a real difference!
