ASC, Teaching assistant, Primary, 1-2-1 support.

Job description

A 'Good' primary school based in Kingston, SW London are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and hard-working Teaching Assistant to work with a child with ASC on a 1:1 basis starting immediately . The school are looking for a professional who has a passion for working with children with additional needs and is committed to always striving for the best and can identify areas and ways to improve the child's learning and development.

The child is in Year 3 but works at a much lower level so has a educational health care plan which is tailored to support the child continually. The ideal candidate will have a caring and committed attitude and will be able to work effectively as part of a team. The appointed TA will be responsible for supporting the teaching, learning and additional needs of the child. Applicants must have experience working with children with ASC or similar needs. Team Teach training would be beneficial and can be provided.

To be considered you must hit the following criteria:

  • Dedicated classroom practitioner
  • Ability to work 1-2-1 and with others.
  • Can identify where children can improve.
  • Can work alongside teachers and SLT.
  • Has the ability to form positive working relationships with both adults and children.
