Job description

Part time position for a Teaching Assistant with ASC experience commencing as soon as possible. The position is initially temporary and commencing as soon as possible. This role will involve being available as and when the Setting require so it would suit a Teaching Assistant who can be flexible.

The school is a Secondary Special Needs School which currently has 75 pupils enrolled. The Setting caters for pupils with a wide range of needs including: moderate, severe or profound multiple learning difficulties. In its most recent 2016 inspection the school was graded as 'good' with outstanding features by OFSTED. Due to the specific needs of the pupils the ideal Teaching Assistant will have an understanding of how to cater for pupils with ASC.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience working with individuals with ASC in any capacity
  • A commitment to supporting pupils in reaching their potential
  • Experience working within a special needs setting (desirable)
  • Experience working within a care home or Residential Setting

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
