ASC Teaching Assistant – Rochdale

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of one of our client schools in the Rochdale are who are seeking to employ an experienced ASC Teaching Assistant to join their support team from December 2019 until at least the end of the academic year, with a potential permanent contract obtainable.

  • Full time ASC Teaching Assistant required from December 2019
  • Until the end of the academic year in the first instance
  • Strong possibility of the role continuing into the new academic year
  • Earn between GBP1100-GBP1300 per month
  • Short drive from Rochdale town centre

Our client school which is located in the Whitworth area of Rochdale is a small mixed comprehensive school with fewer than 700 students currently in attendance. With a positive Progress 8 score, the school ensure that their students perform consistently to high standards and that they make good progress. This exciting role has arisen due to our client school recently securing extra funding to support one of their students who has ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition). The role will involve supporting the student in lessons throughout the whole curriculum.

The ideal candidate will have experience within an SEND environment, whether in a classroom or in other provisions, in particular our client school would like the ideal candidate to have experience working with students with Autism. A patient and caring attitude will be highly beneficial in this role, and excellent behaviour management skills will be advantageous.
