ASC Teaching Assistant - North Manchester
Do you have experience working with young people on the Autism Spectrum? Are you an experience ASC Teaching Assistant?
Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside our client school located in North Manchester, who are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant who has experience with ASC to support a student on a 1:1 basis. This role is due to start in Easter 2019, although there may be potential for an earlier start for the perfect candidate.
- Full time ASC Teaching Assistant role
- Easter 2019 start (earlier start potential for ideal candidate)
- Until the end of the academic year in the first instance
- Earn up to £350 a week dependent on experience
Our client school is located in the Whitefield area of North Manchester and was rated 'Good' by Ofsted in their most recent inspection in 2017. This 11-16 mixed comprehensive secondary school is a fully inclusive school, and is proud to support a range of different individual needs.

Pupils with SEN are educated in the classroom as part of this inclusive strategy, but will receive intervention and support on a personalised and individual level. The school tries to ensure that no child is excluded from educational visits because of their SEN or disability. The school has a pastoral system in place to provide support to all pupils. The school takes the appropriate steps in order to prevent disabled pupils from being treated less favourably than other pupils." SENCO.
The successful candidate will be working on a 1:1 basis with a student who is on the autism spectrum, and the school feel will benefit from extra support. The support will include both in the classroom during lessons, as well as provision in the dedicated student support centre.
