Teaching Assistant - Trafford

Teaching Personnel are continuing to work closely with a client 'Outstanding' Primary SEN school in the Timperley, WA14 area of Trafford. This Primary SEN School take great pride in their “Outstanding” OFSTED status and have outstanding behaviour throughout school. Due to the intake of a new child, this Trafford based primary school are looking to appoint a teaching assistant with autism experience for their Early Years department.

A primary school with outstanding facilities within the early years are seeking an autism specialist teaching assistant, you would be joining a well thought of phase within the school. As a teaching assistant in the Early Years, having experience of working with autism (ASC) is important as you would be expected to work on a 1:1 basis with this child.

The Role:

• ASC – Autism Support within the Early Years

• 1:1 support for a child with challenging behaviours

• Some communication issues leading to behaviour

• Full time – starting ASAP

The Person:

• Experience of working with Autism – Children or Young People

• Comfortable with challenging behaviours

• Able to communicate with children with little speaking ability

• Communication through visual aids

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
