ASC Teaching Assistant Required, Ardwick, Manchester, M13

A ‘GOOD’ two form entry primary school in the Ardwick area of Manchester (M13) is looking for a full time teaching assistant to join their KS2 team on a full time basis. This full time teaching assistant position will start ASAP and will run in to the next academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a child in KS2 with severe ASC on a 1:1 basis through out the school day. The child shows challenging behaviours and works from specific IEP’s. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with similar needs and will be required to work closely with the schools SENCO to adapt IEP’s and to monitor and assess the childs progression.

This is a two form entry primary school which is in the heart of the city centre. The school believes that ‘children should enjoy their learning and encourages its pupils to become resilient and life-long learners.’ The school are looking for a dedicated, proactive support assistant who has an adaptable nature and who works well as part of a team. This full time teaching assistant opportunity will start ASAP and will run into the new academic year.

To be considered for this ASC support position, you will:

- Have experience working with children with ASC or children who display challenging behaviour

- Be able to adapt learning to suit the needs of the child

- Have the ability to implement strong behaviour management techniques
