A client primary school in the Whalley Range area of Central Manchester (M16) area is looking for a teaching assistant to join their KS2 team on a full time basis. The successful candidate will be working on a 1:1 basis with a child in Year 5 who has Autism. The child can access the curriculum and works to a high standard, however they need support developing socially. The school are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who is able to build a strong working relationship with the child to enable them to move forward with their academic and social progression.
The SENCO has developed a learning plan for the particular child which focuses strongly on areas for development. The ideal candidate will work closely with the SENCO, the class teacher and the childs parents to assess the childs progression.
The position is to work in a large, 3 form entry primary school in Whalley Range (M16) which is dedicated to ‘helping each child to reach their academic potential’. The school are looking for a bubbly, optimistic individual to join their KS2 team in September! The post will start at the beginning of the new academic Year and will be ongoing.
The ideal candidate will be expected to:
? Provide 1:1 support to an autistic child in year 5
? Have strong communication skills
? Provide an enjoyable learning environment for the child by tailoring learning to suit their needs
