An SEN teaching assistant required for a school in High Wycombe

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a TA to fill a position within one of our SEN schools. The position will be working with students across KS1 & 2 who have a variety of additional needs including Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties and Autism.

Previous experience is desired but not essential as someone with the right personality and willingness to learn will definitely be considered. The right TA will have an adaptable and versatile personality with a proactive approach to include all students regardless of their needs. You will be required to work on a 1:1 basis and with small groups occasionally to help students to become as independent as possible and to work towards their individual goals. An understanding around the complexities of various Special Educational Needs is essential.

Desirable Additional Degrees, Qualifications and Awards in childcare or youth work, e.g.

• Early Childhood Studies / Childhood Studies

• Foundation Degrees in Education

• Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools

• Support Work in Schools

• Special Educational Needs

• Child Development

• Childcare and Education

• Early Years

• Childcare & Early Years

• Language / Speech Therapy

• Core Subjects Maths, English, Science, Humanities, Languages

• Sport Coach

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
