Teaching Assistant required for Autism school in Ascot
- Are you confident and experienced with assisting students with Special Educational Needs?
- Have you had experience promoting positive behaviour management strategies?
- Do you have a good understanding of supporting Autistic learners?
Teaching Personnel are looking for a 1:1 support assistant to work directly with a named student with diagnosed Autism and moderate learning difficulties. The successful candidate will be required to support the student in class with their work and also provide specific interventions planned by the class teachers to aid the student’s improvement according to their individual education plan. In addition, some extra curricular responsibilities will be required including playground supervision and lunchtime controlling.
Someone with previous experience in a similar role would be desirable, as would someone with relevant training and experience including Team Teach or Autism Awareness training. There will be opportunities for further professional development with our CPD training courses and the school will be offering in house training as well.
