ASC Autistic Spectrum Condition Teaching Assistant role in Nelson

  • Full time role working in a split year 1/2 class, supporting a pupil 1:1
  • Continuous training in this supportive school to develop staff skills
  • Experience of supporting pupils with ASC is essential

A school in Nelson requires a teaching assistant with experience working with children with Autism (ASC) to join their friendly professional team. The role will begin after the Ester half term, supporting two pupils in the split year 1/2 class, to act as extra support. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with challenging behaviour and wanting further experience within a mainstream setting. You will be supporting children with academic studies, life skills and creative foundation subjects. The school has a supportive, laid back atmosphere where support for all is highly promoted.
