1:1 TA required supporting a Year 4 Pupil with severe Autism within a Catholic Darwen Primary School.

  • Experience supporting EBD pupils and excellent classroom based references are essential for this role.
  • Opportunity to secure a long term position within an ‘Improving’ Darwen Primary School.
  • Team Teach qualification is highly sough after.

Teaching personnel have been approached by a local Blackburn Primary School to recruit an experienced specialist support assistant, to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with Emotional, Social and Behavioural Difficulties. The role is to start in October 2016 and continue though until at least Christmas, with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate. This role is to take place four days a week, as the pupil attends a alternative provision part time.

Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, Autism, Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties and working within Year 4 classroom setting, with excellent classroom based references is essential for this role.

Experience working within a Catholic School and a Team Teach qualification within the last three years is also highly sought after.

The school is based in Darwen and is a stones throw from Junction 4 of the M65 and is easily accessible via all transport links.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
