Are you a Teaching Assistant or above looking to specialise in working within Special Education Needs?

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to appoint, as soon as possible, a SEN Teaching Assistant for a home tuition provision in Selby and surrounding areas. The provision provides a personalised education for children with a range of behavioural difficulties, most which are linked to Autism or ADHD.

Starting off as short term cover, this is potentially an ongoing long term placement which could become permanent for the right person. The successful candidate will deliver pre-planned Functional Skills lesson plans, to students on a 1:1 basis that have been excluded from Mainstream Schools.

The role will start ASAP and bookings are made in blocks of 2 hours, with up to 3 students in a day; 6 hours.

To apply for this role, you will require:

• Teaching Assistant Qualification – at least Level 2

• Previous experience of managing challenging behaviour

• A strong and creative approach to engaging students into lessons

• A confident and positive approach to working with children

• An enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally

• A current Child Only Workforce DBS registered with the Update Service, or a DBS done through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
