Experienced Support Worker required for pupils with Autism in specialist school

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a specialist SEN School in Leeds who are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism.

The school provides specialist education programmes for pupils with Special Educational Needs aged between 2 and 19.

We are seeking those with experience supporting young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) in either an SEN environment who are looking to expand on and develop their existing skillset in a specialist school, supporting those on the Autism Spectrum. You must have a resilient nature and be prepared to manage potential aggression. You must also be comfortable providing personal care.

The ideal candidate will possess Moving and Handling or Team Teach training. You will deal with personal care and provide individual support to pupils in relation to their social, emotional and mental health needs.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
