Experienced Behaviour Teaching Assistant required in Sheffield

We are particularly looking for teaching assistants who have an interest in Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and have the drive and passion to support pupil with ASC at specialist secondary school in Sheffield.

The schools intention is to promote an inclusive environment where a holistic approach to learning is incorporated to ensure students are supported to a level where there are a variety of learning opportunities and where the pupils can fulfil their potential and flourish as individuals.

Initially we would like you to be flexible and happy to begin short term supply work whilst we look for an ideal long term role for you. You will be an engaging, empathetic and creative individual with a passion to assist children with Autism to access the curriculum as fully as possible.

Experience in a school is desired but not essential as we also look for experience in areas such as social care and youth work. Particular personal or professional experience of supporting individuals with Autism is highly desirable as is an understanding of the complexities related to the behaviour in this condition.

A Team Teach qualification or other Intervention training would be an advantage but again is not essential as at Teaching Personnel we can offer courses and training if you wish to attend any of these.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
