Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant required in Ascot to work with Primary School pupils with Autism

  • Hours Monday – Friday 8.30 -3.30
  • Competitive rate of pay depending on experience and training
  • Full training offered

At Teaching Personnel we are currently recruiting for Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants in Ascot, to work with primary and secondary pupils with Autism and Asperger’s.. The schools main aim is to help pupils to progress in to training and further education. The role involves assisting small groups of pupils in English.

Experience working with special educational needs pupils would be preferred, however they are willing to accept candidates who have a keen interest in working with children and helping them to develop and learn. This is a very rewarding position, but also challenging.

Ideal candidate

• Enthusiastic, patient, and reliable

• Display exceptional communication skills.

• Have a background in Psychology, Art, Music and English

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
