Teaching Assitant with experience working with Autism, Bishop Auckland

  • Do you have experience working with young people with SLD or Autism?

  • Do you have 6 months experience working within a SEN setting? If so, we have the perfect role for you.

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an SEN school in Bishop Auckland who are currently recruiting for a KS1 Teaching Assistant with experience supporting Autism and SLD within a Primary setting with the ability to manage challenging behaviours.

Ideally applicants would have experience with ASC and SLD within a KS1 school setting. Additional qualifications such as Team Teach and Autism Awareness is desired. We would also welcome applicants with relevant transferrable skills such as Youth Workers or Support Workers as well as recent university graduates.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• 3 months experience supporting students with ASC and SLD in a mainstream or SEN setting

• NCFE/CACHE Level 2 Supporting and Learning in Schools or educated to a degree level

• Patient and nurturing mannerism with a desire to work in SEN
