Secondary ASC Teaching Assistant required in Sunderland

  • Do you have experience working with young people with Autism?
  • Do you have a CACHE Level 2 or equivalent?
  • Do you have 6 months experience working within a school setting? If so, we have the perfect role for you.

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant experienced in supporting Autistic students for a SEN school in Sunderland area.

Ideally applicants would have experience with ASC in a Secondary school setting. Additional qualifications such as Team Teach and Autism Awareness is desired. We would also welcome applicants with relevant transferrable skills such Care Assistants or Support Workers.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• 6 months experience supporting Autistic students in a mainstream or SEN setting

• NCFE/CACHE Level 2 Supporting and Learning in Schools

• Patient and nurturing mannerism
