Autism Teaching Assistant role at Primary SEN School in Hayes

  • 1:1 and 2:1 support of primary children with autism
  • Secure long term role dependant on positive feedback

Are you experienced or interested in supporting children with autism and learning difficulties?

An ‘Outstanding’ Special Needs school in Hayes are looking for Teaching Assistants and Learning support Assistants to start ASAP. This school caters for primary aged children diagnosed with autism and associated learning difficulties. The role will focus heavily on 1:1 and 2:1 support due to the learning needs of the pupils.

The school are looking for flexible, bubbly, hard working TAs who are committed to delivering high quality support of children with special needs.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to travel to Hayes (West London) daily

• Must be able to work Monday - Friday 8:30 am – to 4:00pm during school term time

• Must have experience/interest in supporting children/young people with autism

• Must be flexible, hard working and willing to showcase skills in order to secure and maintain role

• Knowledge/experience of autism specific approaches such as PECS, TEACCH, symbols and sensory resources is highly beneficial


• Working in an Ofsted rated outstanding SEN school with a strong and highly specialised team

• In house training on autism specific resources such as PECS, TEACCH, Makaton and Attention Autism from autism specialists

• Secure long term roles with permanent placements at end of the academic year dependant on feedback

• School direct programme to start at school from Sept 2018

• Recent new site opened in Ruislip with high career progression potential
