An ‘outstanding’ school in Southwark is currently seeking a learning support assistant to work one-to-one with a bright and bubbly child with Autism.

The ideal candidate will have direct experience working with pupils that have ASC/SEN requirements and is patient and easily motivated when it comes to working with children. In return, the school boasts state of the art facilities along with a supportive senior leadership team to give you the best chance to have an enjoyable and successful career at the school.

The right candidates will:

Provide specialist support to children with ASC.

Liaise with Parents and SENCO on the child’s progress.

Have at least 6 months experience working with children within Ks1 or Ks2.

Have an understanding of the SEN settings within a school.

The position:

Based in a mainstream school

5 days a week, full time

Working with a child with ASC 1-1

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
