Are you looking for a new teaching assistant role starting in January 2015? Teaching Personnel is currently working with over 70 primary schools in South East London, and one welcoming and friendly primary school in the London Borough of Greenwich, Woolwich (SE18) is searching for a teaching assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with Autism (ASC) on a 1:1 basis starting immediately.

The successful candidate will have a calm nature, great communicational skills and ideally recent experience or training working with primary school pupils with Special Educational Needs or, specifically, Autism. This particular pupil has challenging behaviour in the form of his reluctance to work and disruption to the class, so experience and knowledge of strategies to deal with this would be extremely beneficial.

To be considered for the role you will need to register with Teaching Personnel with your local South East London and Greenwich consultant, undergo an enhanced DBS check and be able to provide details of two references prior to registration. Applications are welcomed from teaching assistants of all backgrounds who live locally or are able to travel to South East London for work.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
