ASD/Autistic Spectrum Disorder teaching assistant needed in Bilborough

Are you a confident and engaging teaching assistant? Are you able to differentiate your schooling style for a role in special needs?

One of our partner schools in Bilborough is seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join their friendly SEN specific team. This is a rewarding role and requires applicants to have a background of teaching children with autism. Experience with other moderate learning difficulties, such as dyslexia and dyspraxia, would also be valuable but is not essential.

The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working with a range of ages (4-11) as you will be required to work in a variety of classes, mainly one to one or in small groups with those with who have autism.

The ideal teaching assistant will:

* Have experience with ASD

* Have at least 6 months experience in a school environment

* Be caring and enthusiastic

* Able to work with both groups and one-to-one

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
