We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to work within a specialist residential and day school in West Sussex. Due to an influx of new pupil allocation for September, the school are looking to fill two SEN Teaching Assistant roles and two one-to-one support posts. You will work within a small class of primary aged children. The school cater for pupils with a wide range of special educational needs (SEN) including Autism (ASC), Asperger’s and Social Emotional & Mental Health difficulties (SEMH).

You might have recently graduated and have an interest in working with young people or perhaps you would like to pursue a career in teaching and wish to develop your skills and experience in the classroom.

It is essential that you have the patience and the desire to support children with challenging behaviour and SEN. You will be responsible for assisting the children in your care with their learning and help them to develop their social skills.

Successful applicants must obtain a ‘Child Workforce’ DBS (standard cost £44) and subscribe to the Update Service (annual fee £13); full application support provided by Teaching Personnel. Due to the rural location of the school, own transport is essential.
