SEN Teaching Assistant required in Bootle

  • Up to £10 per hour depending on experience

Here at Teaching Personnel we have had a request for a Teaching Assistant to work one to one with a pupil in Year 1 with Autism. The child has behavioural issues and needs some extra one to one support to ensure he makes the correct progress through school.

The school is located in Bootle, Sefton and is rated as ‘Requires Improvement’ by Ofsted however have things in place to improve this rating sooner rather than later. The school have asked for someone with experience of supporting children with attachment trauma, ADHD, ASC if possible and this would be desirable for this position.

Teaching assistants have received training to effectively support pupils’ learning, especially in phonics. Teaching assistants who support pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities are effective, particularly in the early years.
