ASC / ASD (Autism) Specialist Teaching Assistant Roles

  • Do you have experience managing young people diagnosed with ASC, who display extremely challenging behaviour?
  • Do you have the ability to motivate and engage young people?
  • Become part of a staff team who have been graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.

We are working with a specialist service in the L13 area of Liverpool and are looking to for Teaching Assistants with Autism qualifications and/or previous experience working with autistic pupils.

You will be supporting children with ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition) and SEN and will be required to support individuals on a 1:1 basis, assisting with classwork, behaviour management and helping pupils with their daily routine.

The school are looking to work with experienced teaching assistants, who can contribute to support programmes for autistic students in school. You will need to have expert knowledge on autism support and be able to lead interventions for individual pupils. You will need to have experience working with children aged 5-16, and be able to build a good rapport with children.
