Autism specialist - ASC Teaching Assistant required for Salford, Eccles Primary School, M30.

  • Experience of working with Autism (ASC), ideally with young children.
  • Ability to cope with Autistic children, traits of Autism and mechanisms to engage and include children.
  • Challenging behaviours but great support with the SENCO and Inclusion Team.

Autism specialist - ASC Teaching Assistant required for Salford, Eccles Primary School, M30.

Teaching Personnel are working closely with the SENCO and Inclusion Leader at a Primary school in the Eccles area of Salford, M30.This primary school are looking to recruit a 121 ASC support worker to work with a couple of children with Autism in the Early Years from Easter or May half term.

This role requires someone who has experience of working with children with ASC, whether it’s on the verbal or non verbal spectrum. A school looking to become a good and outstanding school in the future, this is a great place to work, with a friendly environment and a hard-working ethic. This is a great opportunity and one which could lead to a school’s permanent contract in the future.

The Role:

• ASC – Autism experience

• Non verbal or verbal communicators

• Using visual cards such as “Now and Next”

• Visual Timetables to communicate

• Team Teach Trained – not a necessity

• 1:1 and small group support with Autistic children within the EYFS

• Salary - £13,00-£18,000 Pro Rata

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
