ASD Learning Support Assistant required for Secondary Academy in Cambridge, for September 2017

  • Excellent daily rates of pay, you could earn up to £65 per day!
  • Supporting pupils with ASD, on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Full or part time roles applicants considered.

I am seeking a full-time / part-time Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant to work with pupils with Autism, in a Secondary Academy based in Cambridge. Pupils will have their own EHCP's and are across the autistic spectrum and require support to engage them in their learning and also support them to reach their full potential, within and outside of education.

You must be able to use your own initiative and willing to get "stuck in" on occasions - some of these students can display challenging behaviour you must be able to assist the school staff in defusing & de-escalating any situation as they arise.

You will need to be available to work from 08:30 - 15:30. The School is accessible by public transport, but also has on site free parking.

The successful applicants will have:

* Experience supporting pupils with Autism, this is essential

* A desire and passion to support pupils in an educational environment to help support the pupils to reach their full potential

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
