Urgent - SEN teacher required to deliver secondary English

  • Part time role with additional work available if full time preference
  • Weekly pay through Teaching Personnel (PAYE) from £120 per day

My client is part of a cluster of SEN units across Sussex; this particular unit caters for secondary aged pupils (Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4) with Special Educational Needs, including Social Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH), behavioural problems, Autism and Asperger’s. This is a part time teaching position (Monday to Thursday, term time only) and involves delivering the English curriculum to both KS3 and KS4 students. Ideally you will have experience working with an SEN school or college and have supported pupils with challenging behaviour. This is a temporary post with an immediate start. You must have a valid teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd, GTP, etc) and hold UK QTS (qualified teacher status). If you don’t already have a Child Workforce DBS registered to the Update Service, you can apply for one with Teaching Personnel at a basic cost of £44. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
