Teaching Personnel are currently the leading education recruitment specialists across the UK are looking for an autistic specialist to work on a supply basis in Kempston.

We are seeking experienced special needs assistants to start ASAP for day to day and long term supply which could possibly lead to permanent contracts.

The school in question are looking for teaching assistants with ASD experience working with autistic pupils. You will be supporting children with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) and SEN and will be required to support individuals on a 1:1 basis.

The successful candidate must drive or be willing to travel and have GCSE's A-C including English and Maths.

Skills Required for our Teaching Assistant Position: * Special Needs Teaching Assistant experience * Experience of working with special needs children aged 5 - 18 years * Must hold a valid DBS certificate * Experience of teaching children with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) and other associated challenging behaviours * A commitment to working with children with special educational needs is essential * You must be able to assist in Personnel Care * Ability to manage confrontation & challenging behaviour * Ability to adapt and respond to children needs and plan accordingly * Must be an energetic and enthusiastic team player * Must have patience * Be proactive * Ideally have good experience working one to one as a teaching assistant. * Work well in a team * Have a positive attitude * Have a passion for working with children with Special Needs
