Job description

There are exciting new career opportunities to become for an SEN Secondary English Teacher at a brilliant ASC school in the Peterborough area. This school provide care and education to over 100 students with Autistic Spectrum Condition. They have recently received an Ofsted rating of 'Good'. This school provides the children and staff with fantastic facilities to ensure the best education possible.

The role includes:

  • Being responsible for the attainment and progress of all your pupils
  • Contributing to the overall intellectual, emotional and social development pupils
  • Keeping up with the National Curriculum and a variety of other curriculum pathways

The school are looking to appoint a new English teacher to work with secondary students in small class sizes of up to 8 children. You will be responsible for working with children who have Autism Spectrum Condition and could show challenging behaviour so you must be willing to work within this environment.


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT), Overseas Trained Teacher (OTT) or be an Unqualified Teacher with previous Secondary experience
  • Previous SEN experience preferably with ASC, if not you must have a desire to work in SEN.
  • Enthusiastic and engaging personality

Additional qualifications such as Team Teach and Autism Awareness are desirable but not required.
