A school in Tameside is looking for an Art teacher to join the teaching staff in September 2021. This position will be on a temporary basis. It is imperative that the required candidate:

  • QTS (or a related equivalent qualification)
  • A degree (preferably in Art or a related subject)
  • Experience delivering Art across both KS3 and KS4.

The applicant will be able to competently:

  • Encourage pupils to produce unique pieces of work, successfully preparing students for exams.
  • Deliver school curriculum, as well as work with students on both a group and individual basis.
  • Work with students who have SEN, and effectively differentiate learning to meet the needs of these pupils.
  • Give feedback linked to student attainment, general progress as well as day to day issues relating to attendance, in class assessment and examination preparation.
  • Work with other members of staff to identify pupils requiring extra support, as well as working to implement relevant interventions when necessary.
  • Ensure that students are adhering to school policy, especially with regards to general behaviour within the classroom.

Pay – between GBP24,373 and GBP40,490 per year, based on previous experience.

  • Motorway links (M60, M67) also close by.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
