Art Teacher

As a result of an upcoming maternity leave, a co-educational secondary school in Warrington is looking to take on an Art teacher for the duration of the maternity cover. This is therefore a full time requirement for a qualified Art teacher to take on from February to July 2020. The successful Art teacher is required to teach across the Art curriculum following the AQA specification. This includes the areas of Fine Art, Photography and Textiles for example.

This secondary school was rated as ‘Good’ with outstanding elements in its most recent inspection and as a result they are looking for an Art teacher who can contribute to their push towards being outstanding. The school has high expectations of students and staff alike and the appointed Art teacher is expected to be able to take on all planning and marking as part of this longer term teaching role.

The Art department is made up of 3 teachers at this fairly large secondary school with a Head of Art who is supportive, friendly, approachable and knowledgeable in their field. Feedback from those teachers that go to this school for shorter term supply assignments is always positive with teachers requesting to return wherever possible.
