Art/DT Teacher

A school in Northwich is looking for a part-time Art/DT Teacher to join the department on a part time, 2 days a week basis. The role is an exciting opportunity at a unique school, whose ethos is centered around the encouragement of independent learning from students. The school consistently achieves excellent examination results - the required applicant would need to be an individual who is able to not only immerse themselves within school culture, but also needs to be someone who can quickly develop positive working relationships both with students and staff.

Requirements for this role:

• QTS.
• A degree (preferably in Art/Design)
• Prior experience in the delivery of high quality Art and DT sessions to KS4.
• A passion for improving the overall attainment of students.

Key aspects of this position include:

• Delivering school curriculum across both Art and DT.
• Encouraging students to consistently produce unique pieces of work.
• Differentiating work to ensure the needs of those with SEN are met effectively.
• Managing student workloads, and providing in-depth feedback to subject leaders, senior leaders and parents when necessary.
• Identifying students who may require additional support across both subjects, and being able to offer additional provision to these students.
• Working on a individual level with students, due to the small class sizes that the school has.

• Has a number of unique features, particularly with extremely small class sizes.
